Product Description

 

Solar glass is mainly used on solar panel because of its super light transmittance rate. It is made of unique formulation and high quality material with iron content less than 120PPM. By adopting international first-rate production technology and equipment, it has special suede and flower pattern design.

Features:

1. Substrate Type

- Mainly uses ultra-clear low-iron glass (Fe₂O₃ content ≤ 0.015%), which ensures high light transmittance (visible light transmittance ≥ 91.5% for 3.2mm thickness) to improve PV module power generation efficiency.
- Ordinary float glass is rarely used (low transmittance, poor performance).

2. Thickness (Core Specification)

- Standard thickness for PV modules: 3.2mm (most common, balances weight, strength, and transmittance).

3. Size

- Conventional sizes (matching PV cell layouts): 1640×992mm, 1820×1016mm, 2100×1000mm (for 182mm/210mm cell modules).

4. Tempering Performance (Safety Core)

- Surface compressive stress: ≥ 90MPa (meets GB/T 9963-2015 / ISO 12543 standards).
- Fragmentation test: After breaking, it splits into small, blunt-edged particles (no sharp shards) to avoid damaging PV cells.
- Bending strength: ≥ 240MPa (resists wind pressure, snow load, and impact).

5. Optical Performance

- Visible light transmittance: ≥ 91.5% (3.2mm ultra-clear tempered glass, without coating); ≥ 93% with anti-reflective (AR) coating.
- Solar transmittance: ≥ 90% (3.2mm, AM1.5 standard), minimizing sunlight reflection loss.
- Anti-reflective (AR) coating (optional): Single/multi-layer SiO₂/TiO₂ coating, reducing reflectivity to ≤ 1% (vs. 8-10% for uncoated glass).

6. Edge Processing

- Grinding: Edges are finely ground (single-side/double-side) to remove burrs, avoiding stress concentration and breakage.

7. Weather Resistance

- UV resistance: No yellowing/cracking after 2000h UV aging test (meets IEC 61215 standard).
- Humidity-heat resistance: Stable performance after 1000h 85℃/85%RH test (resists coastal/humid environments).
