Product Overview
Solar tempered glass is a key encapsulating material for photovoltaic modules. It is made from ultra-clear low-iron glass and processed by cutting, edging, optional hole drilling, optional silk-screen printing, anti-reflective (AR) coating, and tempering. As the front cover of solar panels, it protects solar cells from wind, sand, rain, hail, and mechanical impact, while maximizing sunlight transmission to improve module conversion efficiency and power output.

Compared with ordinary glass, our solar tempered glass features ultra-low iron content, higher solar transmittance, higher mechanical strength, better thermal shock resistance, and long-term outdoor weatherability, making it suitable for 25+ years of PV module service life.

Light Transmittance

  • Uncoated solar tempered glass: typically 91%–92%
  • AR-coated solar tempered glass: typically 93.5%–94.5%
    AR coating reduces surface reflection and helps more sunlight reach solar cells, contributing to higher module power output.

Silk Screen Printing
We support custom silk-screen printing on solar glass according to customer drawings, including logos, position marks, busbar patterns, and other functional/decorative prints. High-temperature ceramic frit printing is fused during tempering for strong adhesion, scratch resistance, and long-term outdoor durability.

Hole Drilling / Openings
Custom holes and openings can be processed before tempering according to module design requirements, such as:

  • Junction box cable outlets
  • Mounting / assembly holes
  • Special openings based on customer drawings

Hole diameter, quantity, and position can be customized with precise tolerance control.
