Low-E Coated Bent Tempered Insulating Glass is a curved energy-efficient safety glazing unit made from bent tempered glass with a low-emissivity (Low-E) coating, sealed with a spacer, desiccant, and dual-seal system to form an insulating glass unit (IGU).
It combines curved architectural design, tempered safety performance, Low-E thermal control, and insulating cavity energy efficiency in one product.
Typical applications: curved curtain walls, skylights, sightseeing elevators, arched windows and doors, and specialty façade systems.
The Low-E coating is enclosed inside the cavity, normally on surface #2 or #3.
Compared with ordinary insulating glass of similar build-up, Low-E IGU configurations can typically improve energy performance by about 40%, depending on coating type and gas fill.
Surface position guide
Offline (soft-coat) Low-E must be used in sealed IGU; edge deletion is required before sealing.
Appearance colors: clear, ultra-clear/low-iron, light blue, deep blue, blue-grey, light grey, European grey, green, bronze/teal, silver metallic, custom colors
Optical grades by visible transmittance (Tvis):
Outdoor reflectance is commonly controlled in the 10–30% range to balance performance and glare/light pollution.
Quality references: GB/T 18915.2 (Low-E), GB/T 11944 (IGU), GB 15763.2 (tempered glass), or equivalent project standards.
Low-E coated bent tempered insulating glass is a curved safety IGU with single-, double-, or triple-silver Low-E coating sealed in a dry air/argon cavity, delivering energy efficiency, solar control, acoustic comfort, and architectural curved aesthetics for façades, windows, and skylights.
